Peru Earthquake Relief Fund

This past August, an earthquake with a 7.9 magnitude struck the central coast of Peru costing 519 lives and 1,366 wounded. According to the Peruvian Government, 58,581 homes have been destroyed, 13,585 affected, 14 hospitals destroyed and 103 affected. Over a month after the devastation, many homes, schools, and local business are still left in rubbles.

Within a week after the earthquake struck, Lambda Theta Phi mobilized its members across the United States to begin fundraising to assist the people of Peru, pledging to raise $2000. To date, Lambda has raised over 8,500 dollars, well beyond its $2,000 goal.
